Our Dances
It’s just as easy to learn several dances at once as it is to only learn one dance at a time. Because all dances use common elements, what you learn in one dance will help develop skills you need in others. Most dances fall into two main categories: Latin/Rhythm, which utilize toe steps and syncopation; or Ballroom/Smooth, characterized by heel steps and musical downbeats. For example, Swing falls into the Latin/Rhythm category, while Waltz is considered a Ballroom/Smooth dance. Theater Arts dancing adapts dramatic lifts and techniques from Ballet, Modern Dance and Jazz to ballroom styling. Exhibitions are specially choreographed routines for performance and competition.

Students elect to learn an Exhibition derive much pleasure from the preparation of specialized dance material used to choreograph routines in the dances of their choice.
